Every once in a while I come home from work and see all these red solo cups all over the floor, upside down and strewn about…and I know. That’s my cue that I need to get some napkins and get any bugs under that red solo cup. My wife hates having to kill bugs – especially spiders and I have a feeling she’s not alone (really, I’m not alone as the only bug killer in the house).
Recently there have been more and more crawling bedbugs around our room and it’s a bit worrying as there were a handful of them and that’s where we sleep. So I had to do a lot of research on these insects that arrived in America in the 1990s. There are 2 ways to control bedbugs? How to get rid of bedbugs?
1.) If bedbugs are already in your home, here’s what you should do.
Get a large Tupperware container and put a few squeezes of dish soap and a cup of vinegar in the Tupperware, then fill the rest with warm water. Stand by the window and in a few hours you’ll have some of these guys trapped in the water and probably already dead.
2.) If you want to PREVENT bedbugs from coming to your home here is what i found works. It may sound strange, but it actually worked. So far, at least.
Get an empty spray bottle, put garlic powder or garlic cloves, if you have them, inside the water bottle, and just add lukewarm water. Get out there and spray the solution around the perimeter of all windows and doors and they won’t miss it.
