NTA publishes important changes in the information brochure

CUET Exam 2022: NTA Releases Important Changes to Information Booklet

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made some changes to the existing CUET 2022 Information Bulletin regarding the application process, scoring system, and other sections. Applicants can view the Revised CUET Newsletter 2022 on the official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

According to the previous CUET 2022 newsletter, in Step 2 of completing the application form, applicants were required to upload a scanned copy of the 10th class certificate or equivalent in pdf format between 50kb and 300kb in size . However, in accordance with the revised bulletin, applicants no longer need to upload their 10th grade certificate or equivalent.

There have also been some changes in the scoring system. Previously, if none of the options are correct or if a question is found to be wrong or if a question is dropped, all candidates who showed up will be awarded five points. In the revised ballot, it is stated that in such a case, only candidates who attempted the dropped questions will receive five points.

The NTA has also changed the assessment criteria for the CUET 2022 result. Clause A of Section 11.1 which stated that “Assessment of multiple-choice questions of all tests or subjects will be conducted using the final answer keys. and raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for the calculation of the result of CUET (UG)-2022” has now been deleted by NTA.

Applicants can complete and submit the CUET 2022 application form until May 6. The CUET 2022 exam will be conducted in the first and second week of July in computer-based mode. It should be noted that grades in the 12th class will have no weight in admission to UG programs offered by the 44 central universities and 21 other universities.
