Joint Meeting with Mammoth City Council, Mono Supervisors Address Big Issues Tomorrow, March 15 |


Some of the most pressing issues facing Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra this year, including a profound lack of affordable housing (for all but current homeowners or the very wealthy), as well as Shady Rest’s conflicts with the development of the geothermal plant and emergency planning, will be addressed by county supervisors and the Mammoth Lakes City Council tomorrow evening at a special joint meeting with the two governing bodies. The meeting begins at 4:15 p.m. and is available via Zoom or phone.

B. ORMAT Operations Road snow removal in the Shady Rest Park area

(Robert C. Lawton, CAO; Dan Holler, City Manager) – ORMAT has begun clearing roads in the Shady Rest area to allow access to facilities and other uses. The operations have impacted recreational activities in the area by limiting groomed roads for snowmobiling and other activities.

C. County and City Support and Participation in the Mono County Emergency Services Office Project
